Spira NEW Revolution Behind the Scenes look at an "On the Spot" Interview.
This past Saturday, Jon Jenkins with the help from Arizona Blader Kyle Smith (Exile Media) we filmed a new "On the Spot" Interview with Dominic Sagona.
A lot of effort goes into putting out quality media for Revolution. This is a small glimpse into the work that we do to make it happen. In the end, it's all worth it when we see the final product.

Rhodes NEW Revolution Travis Rhodes 90 Second Edit & Profile Now Up! Filmed/Edited by Jon Jenkins.
The first time we skated with Travis, we knew we wanted to film a 90 with him. It's funny how he looks a lot older than he really is. He told me a story about the first time he skated with Chris Farmer. After the session Farmer said, "whoa, that old guy was ripping."

Utah skater Billy Anderson aka "Beastmaster" - is a skater we admire, the passion he has for blading is unmatched. He is easily one of the most inspiring skaters to be around.

SC NEW Revolution Lifestyle Photos Now Up!
A lot has been going on here in Arizona, we had the Strange Creatures crew come out to skate and film for a week. We had a lot of late night filming missions, coming back at 1 AM was considered an "early night. Dylan Davis also claimed top trick on an infamous Tucson ditch gap.

Rodney is one of our original team riders from Alaska, it's always great to see him.
We had a really productive night last night with Rod, we shot photos with Kris Troyer right at sunset. Then met up with Austin Paz to shoot for the late night mission.
Rodney shot 4 photos last night, one of them will be a fresh poster at the shop.

"Honey Baked" - Quinn Barnett, Malcolm Heard, and Dylan Davis just spent a week skating, and held an Arizona premiere for "Honey Baked" last weekend at the Tempe Blade House.
"Honey Baked" is being distributed by Straight Jacket Distribution.
They are leaving Arizona today, and heading to Detroit for the video release. We wish these guys the best, they have a bright future ahead of them.

Obe, Quintin Lamb, JC Rowe, Brandon Negrete, & Kruise Sapstien came out to Arizona last month to escape the heavy rains in California.
Negrete just posted the footage from their trip. They hit up woodward west first, then drove out to Arizona for a quick skate session. All the AZ footage was filmed in One Day.

ROCCITY AZ 2011 The Annual ROCCITY AZ 2011 Trip is wrapping up this week.
We look forward to the ROCCITY AZ TRIP every year, spending a week with some of our good friends, skating all over AZ, and pretty much laughing non-stop the entire time.
We had a really good crew this year, we documented everything throughout the week, and had a great time. It's always over too quickly, we're sad to see everyone leave.

Xsjado AZ NEW XSJADO ARIZONA TRIP Photos Now Up!
Obidoi, JC Rowe, Quintin Lamb, Kruise Sapstein (REMZ), and Brandon Negrete came out to skate Arizona this past week. We set up a nice park session with our AZ scene, followed by a late night street session that lasted til' 2 AM. A typical night to get things done in AZ.

Xsjado + Kruise NEW Revolution Shop Visitors Micheal Obedoza, Quintin Lamb, JC Rowe, Brandon Negrete, and Kruise Sapstein came out to skate Arizona!
Today we had a surprise visit at Revolution. These guys came out to escape the rain in Cali to shred Arizona for a couple days. They are filming some online material for XSJADO.
Quintin Lamb was recently added to XSJADO, it was his first trip to Arizona.
This was everyone's first time to Revolution Skate Shop as well!

Haffey Our good friend Chris Haffey visiting Arizona & Revolution Skate Shop
Haffey came and hung out at Revolution last night. Our TNS Session got rained out.
It's always good to talk to Chris, he's humble. Chris has really strong morals, he's real, and blading always comes first for him. He balances out an insane schedule with everything he does.

Matty has been living in Arizona for the past 4 months now, he's become a staple in our scene. He's heading back to Pensacola for Christmas this week. I think everyone is sad to see him leave.
After Matty finished his 90 Second Edit, he didn't skip a beat, and kept stacking footage here. He pushed a lot of us to skate harder. Stay tuned for his upcoming NIMH AZ Edit.

Paul John came out to skate/film in Arizona this week with Sean Cullen for the INRI Video.
We're not only fans of PJ's skating, but his vision for filming/editing is amazing. Recently added to XSJADO, he has also filmed a few Xsjado Online Promo edits that are top notch.

"Short Cheap Flick" was also shot entirely on film - which is really amazing & really expensive for Nick. It also means the skaters had to land all their tricks right away, time is literally money.

Kato Our good friend Kato (Remz Owner) is coming to visit Arizona this month.
Kato hit me up this morning, he said he's coming out AZ, and wants to skate a TNS Session.
Kato told me not to post any news about him coming to AZ b/c "he's no one special." But, that is exactly what I admire most about Kato - "he puts others first before himself."
In more REMZ news, we had a brand new skater come into the shop yesterday to grab his first pair of rollerblades ever! He picked up the REMZ OS4.

Damien is sponsored by PSYKO Clothing. Psyko owner Josh Diaz is also a photographer, and shot a nice photo of Damien doing a handflip on a vert wall from their trip to Puerto Rico.

Gumby is finishing up his Revolution 90 Second Edit this week in Arizona - launching December 1st.

Pumpkin NEW Revolution Casey McFarland 90 Second Edit Now Up!
Casey is one of our favorite skaters, it's easy for him to be. From the spots he chooses to skate, to how fast he charges at tricks, it makes him stand out from the rest.

On Sunday, our good friend Austin Paz and his girlfriend Ashley made the move from NYC to AZ.

AIL Congratulations to all our Arizona skaters who shredded hard at the AIL Championships.
The AIL World Championships took place at Woodward West this past weekend, 4-5 car loads of Arizona skaters made the trip out. A few of our local skaters did really well.

Yesterday, the special TNS sunday session was at Fountain Hills Skatepark, which has an amazing 50ft quarter pipe that you can skate all day.

We have been working on this owner's edit entitled "Who We Are" for the past 2 months now. The purpose for the edit is to show you exactly what Revolution is all about.
Featuring how revolution first started, the reason we chose to move to Arizona, our dream of creating a real storefront for rollerblading, the importance of Thursday Night Skate, the Revolution Team, what skater owned means for us, and a lot more.

PS NEW 110 Degree Arizona Ditch Session at Power Banks Update - REV BLOG
This past saturday, Jon Jenkins and I wanted to film a clip for the "Who We Are" Edit at the Power Banks here in AZ. It was 110 Degrees, we grabbed a gallon of water and went for it anyways.
Luckily, Ryan Daily met up as well to shoot some photos. By the end of it, we were all pretty beat. It turned into a fun session, and everyone got some deals.

Ryan Daily was one of the first names that came up when we were deciding who we wanted to feature for this year's Revolution 90 Second Edits. Daily's style is his own, and his humble demeanor makes you appreciate his skating even more.

PZA Our good friend Austin Paz came out to Arizona for a week visit.
Paz and his girlfriend Ashley have been staying with us this past week. They are planning on moving to Arizona this fall, and they came out to look around at apartments and enjoy the sun.
We had a late night/last minute film session for Ryan Daily's 90 Seconds Edit last night with Austin.
His roots are in NYC, but we're juiced to have be a part of our Arizona Scene. We have to find him some good pizza here that is slightly comparable to NYC's.

Vagabond NEW Revolution Shop Visitors The VAGABOND Tour in Arizona.
The Vagabond Tour consists of 2 skaters - Gabe Holm and Taylor Green. They have driven coast to coast for the past month, hitting up skate spots and documenting different skate scenes along the way. They stopped thru Arizona for a couple days to skate.

WILSON2 Revolution TOP 5 Profile with Brad Magnuson Now Up!
Brad's "TOP 5 Reasons to ride Remz", "TOP 5 Goliath Moments", "Top 5 MN Skaters", and more.
Brad also won the "Wanna Skate 3" Street competition that went down in Minneapolis, MN.
Brad was lacing all day in his new Remz HR 1.1's, but most notably he did an a/o soul 270 transfer kindgrind to a down rail to seal the deal. Congrats Brad!

WILSON2 Revolution Team Rider Damien Wilson received his 2nd pro skate by Xsjado - the WILSON 2
Damien fully designed his 2nd pro skate, mainly featuring a new translucent cuff, which has a see thru smokey look to it. Damien's new footwrap also has a new clear gum sole that has a lion print graphic underneath. You can also see "Damien" printed on the skate throughout.
I spoke to Damien this morning about his new pro skate, and he is juiced. He's working on some promo for Xsjado right now, so expect to see a new edit of him in the near future!

PSYKO NEW PSYKO Skinny Jean is Now Available!
Pysko stepped up and released a Jet Black Skinny Jean featuring stretch denim. They have a nice fit to them, and are made of 98% Cotton/2% Spandex, which is great for skating.

DALLAS NEW Revolution Shop Visitors - TEXAS skaters stopped thru Arizona.
Josh Glowicki, Greg King, Fritz Peitzner, and Micah Simmang rep TEXAS. You can see their skating in Brian Mooore's upcoming video "The City that Never Sleeps"
Greg King shoots photos of revolution team rider Jason Zwack, and is also featured in ONE.
We got the chance to session last night. Greg shot some nice photos of Josh at the "water ledge." Expect to see more of these guys soon, they shred hard, and keep the TEXAS scene strong.

STJT The "Straight Jacket Tour" at Revolution Skate Shop - SHOP PHOTO by Awall.
Not pictured was Adam Johnson who was still napping at my house from driving 10,000 miles so far on the "Straight Jacket Tour". Can't blame him.
It was great having these guys at the shop, it was a quick day stop thru Arizona. The good news is they are coming back in November to skate when things "cool down" at bit in AZ.
We're looking forward to seeing the end result from the tour! We wish them the best as well.

Honey Baked NEW Revolution Team Rider John Bolino takes the ONE #17 Cover!
Bolino was chosen as the ONE "Skater of the Year", and will have the feature Interview in the next ONE #17 issue dropping in September. ONE will have a limited number of copies available at the SDSF Open going down this weekend in San Diego.
Bolino also just made a quick visit at Revolution yesterday with the Straight Jacket Tour (photos soon). It was great to see him, he was juiced to see all his old buds.

Stockwell Jeff Stockwell came thru Revolution yesterday with the Straight Jacket Tour.
It's always nice to talk to Jeff, he's easily one of our favorite people. The last time he was at the shop was 5 years ago with the Heat Tour.
I keep a lot of older magazines at the shop for younger skaters to learn the history of our sport. We had an old Box Magazine at the shop with one of Jeff's first photos featured in a magazine.

90 Florida's "WILD BILL" just moved to Arizona!
"Wild Bill" first came out to Arizona 2 years ago on one of Joey Chase's revolution skate trips and loved it. His roots are definitely in Florida, but he wanted a change, AZ was the spot for him.
Bill jumped on a greyhound bus for a 3 Day Trip across the US. During at which time his skates got stolen. So, yesterday, we fronted him some new Bambricks to get back skating again.
Bill is flow for RAZORS and also M1 Urethane, so it's all good.

90 NEW DENIAL Pro Wheels Now In-Stock.
DENIAL just released a new line of urethane. All pro wheels are 59mm, with a nice round profile.
Revolution team rider John Bolino got his wheel re-released in black urethane. Montre Livingston released his pro wheel in red urethane.

90 Our amigo Nick Wood came out to AZ and visited Revolution Skate Shop.
I get the usual phone call from Nick last minute, "Hey, I'm coming out to Arizona tomorrow to do some work for 3 days, cool if I stay with you?"
Nick is a professional "do it all handyman" you can say. He's doing really well for himself.
Before he left, we had a cool session at a classic Arizona spot, "the Wedge," with a couple of his remz buds Mason Richards and local remz flow rider Andrew Scherf.

Guillame Roy aka "G-King" came out to skate Arizona last April with Mathieu Ledoux.
The cool thing about Guilaume is he runs a real skate shop called "Lylac" in Montreal. He is another skater owned skate shop, supporting his local scene, and promoting rollerblading. Respect.

ROD Revolution Team Rider Rodney Glenn had a quick layover today in Arizona.
Rodney hit me up last night telling me he had a 6 Hour Layover today in Phoenix. He's on his way from Los Angeles heading up to visit his home state of Alaska.
I picked up Rod at the airport, he got to hang out for the day, see some old friends, check out some 90 Second Footage, and kick it at the shop. Always good to see Rod.

Last week's TNS was really good, the park was packed, skaters were juiced.

DL Revolution Quick Hits Edit with Dustin Latimer Now Up!
We hit up Mesa Skatepark the other night, it's one of the only parks in AZ that allows bikes into the park. DL is really good at BMX, not just cruising the park, he kills it, he does grinds, the whole bit. DL takes his son Life with him to Mesa skatepark to ride bmx as well, father/son session.
Dustin put on his skates after the bmx session, and did a few tricks. Blading is natural for Dustin, it's good to see him skating again.

BMAG Congrats to Revolution Team Rider Brad Magnuson for taking 2nd Place at the "Street Fighter 3" Competition this past weekend in St. Paul, MN.
The "Street Fighter 3" Competitions are setup/organized/ran by skaters who want to bring skaters together in their Mnnesota scene, and promote rollerblading.
I got this text message from Brad on sunday, the day after the comp.
"I almost won a street comp yesterday, took 2nd. I can barely move today."

VX Tour Revolution Team Rider John Bolino joins the "Straight Jacket Tour."
The "Straight Jacket Tour" is a combination of Vibralux and Street Artist team riders, all traveling together to skate/film on a 6 week tour spread across the US.
Bolino was pretty "beat" when he stopped in AZ last week, saying he's been going non-stop all year. However, he handles business like a champ, which is also why he's the "Skater of the Year."

A CHOSEN FEW just posted a DAY 2 Video Update from the USD ALL-STAR Tour to Arizona.
This day we waited until the sun went down, then hit some line ledges, then moved onto some bank to grinds. The 2nd spot is where Dominic took his bad fall, doing a wallride to gap on the outside of the grind.

real bad NEW Revolution Team Riders Joey Chase, Damien Wilson, and John Bolino - and our amigo Lyle Shivak showed up to Revolution for a surprise visit.
They took a skate trip out to Vegas. On Tuesday, they took a detour to AZ and ran into Revolution to surprise us. They are getting some deals filmed here for a few days.
They will be at TNS tonight at Tempe Skatepark, make sure to come out for a session.
Today, they are cooling off before they skate by doing some arizona cliff jumping.

REV BLOG NEW USD TEAM visiting Arizona/Revolution Update - REV BLOG.
Sagona, Rachard, and Iain Mcleod have been shredding in the 103 Degree Arizona heat.
Unfortunately, last night Dominic took a bad fall street skating, and broke his arm. We spent the night at the hospital with him. We wish him the best, and a quick recovery.
Demetrios, Kevin Gillan, and Lonnie Gallegos just arrived to AZ late last night.

Our good friend JStone from Colorado hand cut our new Rev. 90 Second Stencils for us.

Bolino gave his skates away to a lucky skater during the NIMH South America Tour.

Woodster Our amigo Nick Wood made a quick trip out to Arizona.
The Woodster hit me up and said he was coming out to AZ for a couple days for work.
We met up at T-Bird last night for a quick skate session. My ankle has been toast, but, I figured I'd come hang with Nick anyways, and organize a session.

PS NEW Revolution Thursday Night Skate "Quick Hits" Now Up!
Jon Jenkins filmed a nice T-Bird TNS "Quick Hits" Edit on his new 7D.
It was an unusually cold night in AZ, however everyone had a good time. Mathieu Ledoux was cruising the park, he enjoyed meeting a lot of rollerbladers, super nice to everyone.
We even had a few new skaters show up on some rec skates. They were excited to be around other rollerbladers, and "see" what we do. That is how it all starts.

Mathieu LedouxOur good friend Mathieu Ledoux from Canada is coming to Arizona.
For close to 2 years now, Mathieu and I have been talking about him coming out to skate Arizona. However, due to his busy schedule as a professional stuntman, (appearing in numerous movies you've probably seen) he finally got some free-time for the trip!
Mathieu arrives on Monday (4/19) and is staying with us until May 2nd. We're looking forward to having Mathieu here in Arizona. Stay tuned.

Joey turns 23 Years Old today. Luck is on Joey's side also for Florida's Panhandle Pow Wow also taking place today.
All of Florida is hyped for this event. This year the Pow Wow is a WRS Qualifier Event as well.

Sunny in AZ NEW Kelso Brothers Present "It's Always Sunny in Arizona" Online Video Now Up!
Sean Kelso, Colin Kelso, Billy O'Neill, Sean Cullen, and Steve Iacono came out to skate Arizona over their spring break. They met up with new AZ resident John Bolino.
We skated everyday, sessioning spots all over the valley, most lasting late into the night. One night the session lasted until 4 AM. It was a lot of fun having everyone out here in Arizona.

REMZ Owner Kato and Chris Haffey came out to Revolution yesterday to promote the new REMZ HAFFEY 2.0.
First, everyone met up at Revolution, and Kato bought pizza for everyone at the shop. Then we headed to our Revolution Thursday Night Skate. The session went off last night, really amazing.

Sean Sea came out to skate Arizona with one of his INRI team riders Billy O'Neill.
Sean also brought out his dog Firby, he goes with Sean every where. Funniest part is heading into skate a school, we hand over all the camera gear over the fence, all the lights, and we have to hand Firby over also. Everyone loves Firby.
Sean killed it all week, it was good having him visit Revolution/Arizona.
