Revolution 90 Seconds - Matthias Ogger

Ogger
How was your experience filming for your 90 Second Edit?

It was amazing. Jon really knows what he's doing, I'm much more motivated to get good clips when I know that the clips are gonna be filmed extremely nice. It just makes the whole thing way cooler, it's all about high quality end results.

Which trick or situation was most memorable for you while filming?

Just in general hangin out with the homies, talking bullsh#t, and drinkin 79 cent 44oz 3 liter thirst busters was the sh#t! But, if I would have to pick one trick I would say the a/o fish to cess slide in the downtown ghetto Phoenix!

OggerYou mentioned to me your outlook on skating has changed, where you skate things that you enjoy. You're not trying to kill yourself. Which kinds of obstacles do you prefer to skate?

Yeah, that's true totally. I only skate spots I have fun skating, which doesn't mean that I only skate small stuff. I skate whatever I have fun skating, it can be big or small. If I don't have fun skating a spot, I simply don't skate it at the moment. I'm really into bank spots and ledge spots. I'm so over the whole down rail and flat rail thing.

OggerHow would you describe the skate scene in Melbourne Australia?

The scene in Melbourne is huge, I would even say Melbourne has the biggest scene in Australia. There are so many good skaters, it's crazy. A lot of people here skate almost everyday, and it never happens that if I wanted to go skating and nobody would skate.

Who or what are your biggest influences skating wise?

Back in the day, people would influence me with certain tricks. For example, Walt Austin for doing the sickest cess slides on the planet or Mike Lilly for his style and the gaps he did. Nowadays, everybody that makes skating look good influences me and also skaters that made something out of themselves career wise. When I say career wise, I'm not talking about skating career wise, skating is not a career.

OggerWhat do you want to get out of skating? Do you have any goals? Or do you just skate to skate, and let things happen?

Well, I would like to achieve a pro skate one day, or be able to make a living out of skating which is barely possible.

What does having a Revolution 90 Second Edit mean to you?

It means a lot to me, having a Revolution 90 Second edit and being part of such an ill online edit series!

Ogger
